They knew if they didn’t get her out of that pond, she wouldn’t survive. So, that evening, they sprang into action, bringing a swimming pool and setting up a quarantine station just for her. It was hands-on care from the start – medications, daily treatments, and lots of gentle handling. Surprisingly, this fish loved the attention, unlike any they’d ever met before.

She had a nasty, deep cut on her head and was battling parasites, but with patience and care, she began to heal. Over the weeks, her dull brown color transformed into a radiant gold, shining brighter every single day. After six weeks of quarantine and thorough checks under a microscope to make sure every last parasite was gone, she was finally ready.

When she was released back into the pond with other fish, the team couldn’t help but get emotional. Watching her swim freely, happy and healthy, was a powerful reminder of how much these little creatures can show gratitude, and how much a bit of love and dedication can change a life.
